As I picked up my box of over 50 nail polishes (no judgment, I love painting my own nails) I realized it was time to retire a handful of colors till spring and summer come back around. I love my Coral shade of Wet’n’Wild’s Shine Nail Color in Blazed, but as soon as I see it I’m ready to go on a vacation that involves the beach and a great coconut smelling sunscreen. Neons and brights just aren’t going to cut it right now (unless they’re a Clemson shade of orange). For Fall 2014, I’m really feeling muddy browns, any shade of grey and dark berry reds that borderline purple. Here are my favorite shades thus far:

Wet’n’Wild Megalast in Wet Cement. The brush has a rounded shape and is larger than normal which makes for easy application. Sometimes it looks grey, other times it’s got a bit of a purple or nudish tint. It’s versatile and matches with anything you’ll wear!

Julep Nail Color in Fiore. Described by Julep as an “espresso brown crème” (this is one of their coffee inspired colors) two coats of the formula and your done! They’re also not lying about chip resistance as two coats easily lasted me over a week.

Sinful Colors in Nirvana. I’ve never heard anyone describe their favorite color as brown, but this shade could change a few minds.
