One of the things that I have been struggling with is treating myself to something without feeling guilty. After spending months contemplating on whether I deserved to treat myself to something, I finally did it! And wow… it honestly made me feel so much better.

So here are some ways that you could treat yourself to something too:

1. Shopping for Spring/Summer Clothes (Or shoes, video games, etc.)

Shopping is definitely one of my favorite ways to treat myself and relax. I love shopping for new things, whether it’s for clothes, shoes, makeup, etc. Although this may not be the case for everyone, I find it super comforting and distressing to do.

2. Massage/Facial

While I have never booked a massage or facial before myself, I have heard great things about it. So, if you are going to treat yourself to something, then why not book a massage or facial?

3. Movie Night

Treating yourself does not mean you have to spend money constantly. It could just mean taking the time to relax and enjoy a movie or two.

4. Food/Dessert

While treating yourself to food and dessert may not seem too special, it could still be relaxing and enjoyable! If you’re treating yourself out to food, then you could order from your favorite restaurant or support a local business.

5. Manicure/Pedicure

Getting a manicure (and pedicure) is something that I recently considered doing, especially as the weather is getting nicer. An excellent alternative to getting it done at a salon is doing it yourself to save money! This is something I have also considered.

I know sometimes it’s hard not to feel guilty for spending money, but it’s good to treat yourself to something once in a while. You deserve it! Plus, there are other alternatives that don’t require you to send money, such as staying in to have a movie night or creating your own spa day at home or on campus.
