3 Ways to Celebrate A Birthday During Quarantine

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clark chapter.

The other day one of my friends was talking about their birthday that was coming up in a couple of weeks. In this conversation, I realized that many people aren’t able to celebrate their birthdays as they had hoped. So, together we thought of some things that we (and others) could do virtually!

Here are some of the things that we thought of:

Do a video chat

Although you might not be able to gather all your friends and family for your birthday, it doesn’t mean you can’t still hang out and talk to them virtually. Make the most of the situation and do a group video chat with everyone! It’s an easy and convenient way to stay connected and catch up with one another.

Have a Netflix Party

My friend was the person who told me about this. Apparently, on Google Chrome, you can download an extension for Netflix and watch movies with some friends and family! A couple of friends and I tried this out and it was fun! There is a chat on the side of the page that allows you to message one another while watching the movie.

Do a quick drive-by

Doing a Quick Driveby can also be a fun way to wish someone a happy birthday in person. However, if you do use this method, then please stay at least 6 feet away and/or inside the car.

Note: If you are sick/not feeling well, please just stay home.
