Every year country stars everywhere celebrate county music month, which starts on October 1st. This celebration has been going on since 1970. This month is where we celebrate the artists throughout the decades and new music from up and coming artists. A few older artists we celebrate are Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Glenn Campbell. You may not be familiar with these older artists, but I’m sure you know today’s artists that are playing frequently on the radio this month. Some new-comers are:
Carly Pierce
Midland
Jimmie Allen
and Kane Brown
Then there are the more popular artists that everyone seems to know;
Luke Bryan
Blake Shelton
Thomas Rhett
And Kenny Chesney, just to name a few.
So this month go and enjoy country music and don’t forget to explore new artists, and revisit old ones. Happy Country Music Month!
