I walk into Starbucks a little late to meet up with Morgan Eberle. I see her sitting at a table and immediately apologize for being late. She laughs and assures me it is okay. She then proceeds to shows me a video of a golden retriever puppy trying to jump on a table. Morgan is president of Pi Beta Phi, a University Honors Program Ambassador, Lindner Ambassador, a Peer Leader, a member of CWEST and numerous other organizations. She is truly a jack of all trades.Â
Her Campus Cincinnati: What year are you?
Morgan Eberle: I’m a third year!
Â
HCUC: What are you studying?
ME: Accounting and Information Systems
Â
HCUC: What is your hometown?
ME: Peoria, Illinos!Â
HCUC: You’re a little far from home, what brought you to UC?
ME: I wanted to look at two other schools in Ohio and my dad suggested we visit UC as well. I had never heard of it but when we went I really liked it! I ultimately chose UC because of the co-op program!
Â
HCUC: What is your favorite thing about Cincinnati?
ME: I like going to school in the city because there is a lot of fun stuff to do like going to the zoo or Findlay Market. Cincinnati has also helped me to combine a lot of my interests.Â
Â
HCUC: You mentioned previously that you’re the president of Pi Phi, what is that like?
ME: It’s a lot of fun and takes up a lot of time. It has helped me gain time management skills. I love it because it allows me to empower women to make decisions!
HCUC: So, what’s the day in the life of Morgan Eberle like?Â
ME: On Mondays, I wake up at 8am and go to Learning Community in the morning. Then, I go to my classes and go to work at my part-time job which is at the Office of Budget Management! After that, I normally attend a lot of meetings till about 9 or 10 pm. I like going to all of the meetings because that’s where my friends are.Â
Â
HCUC: What is the coolest thing you have done in your 3 years at UC?
ME: LeaderShape! It’s a week long leadership institute that is sponsored by the University Honors Program. I went to it in my sophomore year and was an on sight coordinator this year. It was transformative! I hope to return next year to help out more!Â
Â
HCUC: What is the best piece of advice you have for future leaders?
ME: Find a couple of things you are very passionate about and get involved with those. Don’t spread yourself too thin. You will get more out of it if you are involved in just a few things!
