Be warned that not all Harry Potter characters are ranked because it would take f*cking forever to do so. That being said, if you disagree with these rankings, I am not responsible. Here we go:
10: Dolores Umbridge
Honestly, putting her ahead of Voldemort, because she deserves it. A literal psycho who takes joy in hurting students, is extremely power-hungry and lived to make people miserable. She fired Professor Trelawney for no reason… in front of the whole school. Wtf?! Now that I think about it, she’s probably equal to Voldemort, but we’ll keep her here because she is the reason I almost didn’t finish the fifth book.
9: Voldemort
I’m not even going into this, read the books or watch the first 20 minutes of any of the movies.
8: Peter Pettigrew
Broke bro code (or like basic humanity code?) so he could kiss Voldemort’s a**. Need I say more?
7: Gilderoy Lockhart
I never understood the appeal of this dude. First of all, if he was supposed to be hot, the movies did a terrible job of portraying so. Second of all, he’s arrogant and self-obsessed. Third of all, he’s a liar and a coward. Three strikes for Gilderoy, get him outta here.
6: Draco Malfoy
For sure sucks, but there are worse characters.
5: Minerva McGonagall
Ugh, I wish I could rank her higher. She is such a bad-a** woman, never takes sh*t from anyone, always does the right thing. The fifth book was that much better because she did not care one bit about Umbridge or any rule she imposed. I love her and wish she was my professor. Or mom.
4. Hermione Granger
I love Hermione and think she is an amazing supporting character, in both the books and movies. She’s #4 just because she can be that friend, the one who lectures you when you’re already feeling salty and fully aware that you’ve done something wrong. Like, okay Hermione, we get it, you’re a goody-two-shoes. Also, took way too long to get with Ron. But, she is super smart and does step up when her friends need her, so she’s still up there.
3: Ron Weasley
He and Harry have had their fights, but he remains a loyal friend through and through. He was Harry’s first friend at Hogwarts, which is why he’s only a smidge above Hermione. He can be a bit idiotic at times, but usually it’s funny, and also, I may have a crush on Rupert Grint (the actor who plays Ron in the movies).
2: Harry Potter
I couldn’t not rank the protagonist. The only reason he’s not number one is that everyone knows who the number one wizard in the world is:
