Bearcats Take Over the Zoo

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cincinnati chapter.

On November 7, 2015, University of Cincinnati students, staff, faculty, and their friends had the special opportunity to take a sneak peek of the PNC Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo. This event could not have been more perfect with twinkling lights, Christmas music, and free candy canes. It was the place to be to get in the holiday spirit.

If you were unable to attend the sneak peek of the PNC Festival of Lights, then you must attend the actual event this year. It is sure to become your favorite holiday tradition. It starts on November 21 and goes until January 2. Get your tickets today and get a coupon code from your local Skyline restaurant.

Your journey begins walking through a bridge of lights which is pictured above. You’re also welcomed by a beautiful light tree that creates unique patterns and the zoo logo. After they collect your ticket, you’re finally free to explore the zoo of lights. Everywhere you walk you can see lights. It is like walking in a wonderland. Check out some of the pictures below to get your own sneak peek of the lights. But make sure you check them out for yourself, because my camera does not nearly capture the feeling of pure awe.
