We’ve all been there. We’ve all experienced in some way those embarrassing moments, those frightening moments and those funny moments that often occur your freshman year of college (and sometimes years afterwards) where you usually just want to crawl in a hole or turn into a puddle. But don’t worry, in the end all those moments that made you cringe usually end up being a good story. So go ahead and laugh them off; everyone else will.
1. When a bug gets into your dorm room and everyone screams bloody murder, but you’re too afraid to kill it. And when you do get the courage to kill it, you won‘t be able to find it.
2. You’ll go to pull out that pack of deliciously scrumptious Oreos that you were dying to eat to realize that they’re all gone. Maybe because your roommate ate them. *Inserts death glare here*
3. That moment when you’re in the cafeteria with plates full of food and moments later said food is on your shirt, on the floor, and on someone else. In front of everyone. And then you want to crawl in a hole.
4. There will be a day when you wake up fully refreshed, ready to go to class, because you got a lot of sleep the night before. Then when you look at your clock, you’ll realize that the reason that you feel so refreshed is because you slept halfway through the class… on the day of the exam.
5. The first all nighter… am I dead yet?
6. The moment you run out of underwear because you forgot to do the laundry the last week… or four.
7. There will be homework due, and you won’t realize it until an hour before it’s actually due.
8. When you lost your school ID and couldn’t get back into your dorm… whoops. Just go crash in the library. It’s open 24 hours right? Just kidding. You need your ID for that too.
9. MOVE IN DAY. ‘Nough said.
10. It’s the first day of classes and you end up in the wrong classroom, er, building.
11. It’s the middle of the school year and you walk into the wrong classroom. Only to have a bunch of random people staring at you like you’re E.T.
12. When you’re carrying your laundry basket into the laundry area only to see a cute boy right as your dirty bra falls out of the basket and onto the floor.
13. When you accidentally burn popcorn in your dorm room at 2 am and all the fire alarms go off, causing a full evacuation. #Oops.
14. That moment when you get out of the shower in your hair wrap and robe and go to walk into your bedroom to find that your roommate has a bunch of friends over… guy friends.
15. When you find out from your roommate that you talk-or sing-in your sleep.
16. The first college guy you match with on Tinder that’s extremely HAWT, but then when you meet them in person, you realize that pictures are worth a thousand words. Photoshopped words that is.
17. The first time when you see a professor outside of the classroom setting and you’re just like, “Woah, you’re a real person?”
