Hometown and What You Love About It:
I’m from a suburb of Pittsburgh. Pittsburghers are really passionate about their city and we have a culture that we are well-known for. I really love how strong of a community we are.
Areas of Study and Why You Chose Them:
I am a Math and Secondary Education major. Math has always been something that I was good at and enjoyed doing (I know, it’s pretty hard to believe). I chose education because ever since I was little, I loved to play school and the idea of being a teacher. It’s a career where I feel like I can really make a positive difference in people’s lives.
Favorite Movies: Tangled, Beauty and the Beast, and Across the Universe
Favorite TV Shows: How I Met Your Mother, Greek, and Twisted
Favorite Books: The Help, the Harry Potter series, and Looking for Alaska
Favorite Foods: ravioli, carrots, and peanut butter
Favorite Musicians/Bands: Mayday Parade, Pierce the Veil, and Twenty One Pilots
What is your favorite spot on campus and why?
My favorite spot would have to be the fitness room in the AFC. I absolutely love lifting weights; it’s a fantastic form of exercise and stress-reliever!
Childhood Dream Job: Artist, “hair styler”, and teacher
Current Dream Job: a high school Algebra or Calculus teacher
Why did you choose Chatham?
Like many people, I don’t know exactly why I chose Chatham. I just know that I went on my tour in my senior year of high school and fell in love with the campus and the positive atmosphere.
What do you love most about being a Chatham woman?
Being a Chatham woman has really changed my perspective on life by making me more independent and confident. It has given me so many opportunities that I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
