Hello Beautiful people! Today’s article is going to be a bit different, I know you all are used to beauty reviews but today I’m going to go through my everyday make routine/products I use!

Like a lot of people, I enjoy any and everything having to do with makeup. Over the years, I’ve used high end and low-end makeup. I’ve always had a tough time finding the right foundation shade since a lot of makeup companies don’t cater to those of darker complexions.

Now, at age 20 I finally feel like I’ve found my Holy Grail foundation along with a couple other products I already swear by, enjoy!

Let’s begin with my initial make up set up:

It looks like a lot but I promise you it takes me 15 minutes to do my full face, tack on an extra 5 if I do wings.

List of products:

  • Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation in 6W1 Sandalwood
  • Alba Botanica Hawaiian moisture cream
  • L.A. Girl pro concealer in the shade chestnut
  • Benefit Gimme brow in the shade Medium/Deep (used on when I’m in a rush)
  • Elf Pore primer
  • Wet n Wild illuminator palette (I only use one shade if I’m being honest)
  • NYX powder brow kit
  • 2 beauty blenders; Real Techniques brand and then an off-brand that I got from the beauty supply store (I know they need to be cleaned, don’t judge me!)
  • Urban Decay oil slick All Nighter setting spray
  • Maybelline FIT me foundation Matte and Pore less in the shade 360 Mocha
  • Sephora felt tip eyeliner
  • Kat Von D tattoo liner (Check out my review!)
  • Better Than Sex mascara travel size
  • Foundation Brush (used for highlighting)
  • Mini Spoil-e brush
  • Eye brow Brush/ Eyelash comb
  • Angled Brush for my brows
  • Fan brush
  • Blending brush (also used for highlighting)
  • Estee lauder blush palette (not pictured)
  • Eyelash curler (also not pictured)

Okay! Let’s move onto my routine

  1. Before I do anything I make sure to moisturize my face with Alba Botanica cream. Keep in mind this cream is very thick, a little goes a long way.
  2. I apply the Elf pore refining primer to my problem areas
  3. Let my skin absorb these products
  4. Apply concealer in a triangle; usually let it dry a bit before blending (it makes the concealer less prone to creasing)
  5. Bleeeeeend
  6. Apply foundation. The Estée lauder foundation is a liquid that comes without a pump so I am very careful to pour out only what I absolutely need. Again, a little goes a long way
  7. Bleeeeeend
  8. Fill in my brows with the NYX brow kit
  9. Curl my lashes then apply Better Than Sex mascara
  10. My favorite part: highlight. I highlight my cheeks, nose, the bridge of my nose, arch of my brows and occasionally my cupid’s bow
  11. I usually skip this step but if I feel in the mood I apply a bit of blush
  12. Clear lip-gloss (unfortunately, I lost my clear lip gloss)
  13. Strategically wing my eyeliner using the Sephora brand or Kat Von D
  14. Urban Decay setting spray

DONE!

Just like that I get a fresh-faced no-makeup make up look. Often my friends can’t tell I’m wearing makeup!

BONUS: Excuse my Mrs. Potato Head looking self but my wig would’ve taken away from how sharp this liner came out:

Well that does it for my makeup routine! I hope you all enjoyed, until next time!
