Jenny Schollaert
Year: First-year
Hometown and Your Favorite Thing About It: Pittsburgh! I love the city, there’s no better place! Everything about the Strip District makes me fall in love with Pittsburgh a little bit more, especially the grilled cheese at Pamela’s!
Major and How You Chose It: English. I’m always reading, and I can’t imagine where I would be without my books, so why not make our relationship last a lifetime?
Favorite Spot on Chatham’s Campus: I do love living in Fickes Hall, it’s quite the fun time.
Activities/Interests: Reading, coffee, and people. You can never have enough of any of those in your life!
Favorite TV Show: Jeopardy!
Favorite Movie: 500 Days of Summer
Favorite Band: Panic! At the Disco, never gets old!
If you could sit down for dinner with three authors, who would they be? Most definitely J.K. Rowling, John Green, and Oscar Wilde. Rowling is such an inspiration to me, Green’s books change my perspective on life each time I reread them, and Wilde would just be a sight to behold!
Favorite Books: Harry Potter series, by far. Also The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, and The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
Favorite Food: Anything unhealthy, sugary, or cheesy. Junk food all the way!
Best part of being involved with student government? I’m so grateful that I have the chance to enact real change on campus, and that people know they can come to me if they have any issues that need resolved.
What’s your perfect Saturday night? As long as I get to go out to eat, my night’s made! Preferably with my Chatham ladies!
Dream Job??I’d love to be an English professor and just talk about books for the rest of my life.
Why did you choose Chatham? ?This was the first and only school I applied to! I loved the campus and the sense of community here and really felt that it was the perfect fit for me, despite having to learn how to recycle.
