Fall 2013 Cool Course: Ecofeminist Literature

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chatham chapter.

The Fall 2013 course schedule is out! With hundreds of classes, it’s easy to miss exciting new offerings or returns of old favorites. From now until the beginning of the registration period, we’ll feature just a small selection of the extraordinary courses Chatham has to offer.

ENV452: Ecofeminist Literature

3 credits

Mondays, 3pm-6pm

This course is a Chatham favorite. Dr. Bruckner is an expert on ecocritical and ecofeminist analysis, and the themes definitely play into every one of the mission initiatives. Whether you’re an English major looking for a new lens or an Environmental Science major interested in taking a new approach to your area of study, this will be a seriously valuable experience.

Get Excited:

Learn more about the ecofeminist perspective with this Wikipedia article. You’ll find an extensive list of books on the subject; alumna Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring is recommended reading!

Before you head to the library, take a look at this list of Dr. Bruckner’s writings.
