Exit Interview: Kasey Jones, HC Chatham Team Member

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chatham chapter.

Kasey Jones is arguably one of the most fashionable Chatham students of all time. Her ensembles always rival the celeb outfits she features on her blog, The Maven of Fashion. When we first interviewed Kasey as a Campus Celebrity at the start of her venture, she shared the deep influence women in her family have had on her sense of style. Now, Kasey is an influencer: through her website, through her writing and through her volunteering. Kasey can pull off any ensemble, but it’s her kindness and quiet confidence that really make her glow. We are so thrilled to have had her support as a Her Campus Chatham team member.

Her Campus Chatham: Why did you choose to join the Her Campus Chatham team?

Kasey Jones: To explore and expand my craft of fashion blogging and take it to another level.

As the undergraduate college goes coed, what are your hopes for the future of HC Chatham?

I hope we can give men more reasons to want to dress the part, getting rid of the baggy jeans and trading them for suits.

What did you like most about your time at Chatham?

The small community, small class sizes and loving teachers

What surprised you?

The raise in tuition

What advice you have for the Class of 2019?

Always stay prepared; don’t get ready, stay ready. Also, dress the part. Do not get lazy with your dressing; be proactive. And most of all, it’s better to be overdressed than undressed. Black tights and yoga pants are not professional dress attire; save it for the gym.

What do you love most about Chatham women?

Our diversity and our urge to travel around the world and explore independently

By the time of your 50th Reunion, where do you hope you’ll be in life?

Married with children, President of my own company with large global connections and with my law degree or a Ph.D.

Is there anything else you’d like to say to your Chatham family?

I am so glad to be a part of the Last of the Dying Breed at Chatham as they transition into a coed university.
