Hometown and what you love about it:
Dallas, Texas! I love that you can have sunny days year-round, and that it is the place where most of my family is located.
Â
Areas of study and how you chose them:
Double major in Creative Writing and Communications with a concentration in Journalism. I chose these because I have a passion for writing and want to hone my skills in both areas.
Â
What are you doing over Spring Break?
Going home to see my family and friends!
Â
Why did you choose Chatham?
My grandmother and great aunt both graduated from Chatham in the ’60s, so they encouraged me from a very young age to come and visit. When I was a freshman in high school I finally did and fell in love with the campus and the atmosphere!
Â
What advice do you have for prospective students making their college decision?
Don’t worry about it too much! I was a complete worrywart when it came to choosing which school to go to, but I would tell you to enjoy it! Most likely it will go a lot smoother than you think it will!
Â
What’s surprised you most about Chatham so far?
I’m constantly amazed at the diversity of our student body! I knew coming into it that I would be in class with people from all different backgrounds, but there are so many people from all over the world studying at Chatham, I feel like I can get a feel for a bunch of different cultures!
Â
Childhood Dream Job:
Anything where I could perform! I wanted to act, sing, and dance even though I didn’t necessarily have the skill set for all three!
Â
Current Dream Job:
I would say anything that allows me to write and travel. Writing is my passion, but I also have a huge desire to see the world!

If you could only eat at one Pittsburgh restaurant for a full year, which one would you pick and why?
Mercurio’s on Walnut Street. Their pizza and bruschetta will blow your mind, and don’t even get me started on the gelato!
Â
If you could be best friends with any movie character, who would you pick and why?
Kathleen Kelly from You’ve Got Mail — we would talk about books and bouquets of sharpened pencils all day!
Â
If you could join the cast of any TV show, which one would you pick and why?
Seinfeld — I know it’s not on anymore, but they always had the best time and got into the craziest situations!
Â
You have a friend visiting Pittsburgh for one day, and you’re planning the itinerary. Where do you take them?
I would definitely try to get them to a Penguins or Steelers game, and over to Schenley Park for some hiking. Then probably down to Walnut for pizza and shopping!
Â
You can live in the world of one book for a day. Which one do you choose and why?
Harry Potter 100%! That’s probably a common answer, but who can pass up the magic of that world?
