Dear Favorite Jeans,
It seems like just yesterday I made the decision to purchase you. I was so excited. You were a perfect fit from the start and fulfilled every checkpoint on my shopping criteria, even the “squat test.” Since that day, you’ve been my go-to pair of jeans. I even started picking you over my beloved yoga pants (*gasp*).
From the outside, people might think you’re just a simple pair of skinny jeans, but little do they know, you’re my favorite pair of simple, skinny jeans. You fit like a glove and make my butt look amazing. If you had a resume, adaptable would be one of your greatest skills. I can dress you up with wedges or heels, or keep things casual with converse and vans. I can look hipster, trendy or sporty all by wearing the same pair of jeans.
We haven’t quite hit our one-year anniversary together, but I haven’t gotten sick of you yet. Our relationship of girl and pants will continue to thrive as long as you hold up. Eventually, the sad day will come when one wash will be too many, or when coffee spills and stains, or heaven forbid you rip in the butt. (Yes, this happened to my ex favorite pants, damn squats…)
As a cheesy Pinterest quote once told me, “Give a girl (or guy) the right pair of jeans and they can conquer the world.” When I’m wearing you, there is nothing I can’t handle.
