We all want to be that girl.

The girl who dreams big, walks into a room like a boss, says yes to the opportunity that scares her, and most importantly believes in herself enough to aim higher than herself.

Despite what social media would have us believe, becoming that girl has nothing to do with perfect routines, color-coded calendars or having every detail of your life mapped out. Instead, it goes beyond just the surface level and instead delves deep into our inner workings as young woman. This includes being curious enough to question what you’ve been told, ambitious enough to chase what you want and confident enough to change your mind when something no longer fits.

Sometimes, all you need is the right voice in your headphones to inspire your next big move.

So, whether you’re trying to figure out your career, navigate your late teen years or your early 20s, building something of your own, or perhaps even simply trying to understand yourself a little better, you must add these five podcasts to your queue.

1. The Psychology of Your 20s with Jemma Sbeg 🧠

For the girl who is constantly wondering, “Am I doing this right?”

If your 20s have ever felt like a confusing combination of excitement, existential dread and comparing yourself to everyone on LinkedIn, The Psychology of Your 20s is for you.

Hosted by Jemma Sbeg, the podcast uses psychology and research to unpack the experiences that define your 20s from relationships and friendships to career anxiety, finances, mental health and all of the growing pains in between. Sbeg’s background in psychology makes the show feel less like generic life advice and more like having someone explain why your brain is doing the thing it is doing.

It’s the perfect reminder that feeling lost doesn’t necessarily mean you’re behind. Sometimes, being confused is simply part of becoming someone new.

Listen when: You’re comparing your timeline to everyone else’s.

Your THAT-girl takeaway: You don’t need to have your entire life figured out to be moving in the right direction.

2. Question Everything with Danielle Robay đŸŽ™ïž

For the girl who refuses to accept “because that’s just how it is.”

What if you questioned the rules you’ve been following your entire life?

That’s the energy behind Danielle Robay’s Question Everything, a podcast built around challenging assumptions and having conversations that make you reconsider what you think you know.

And honestly, questioning things is an underrated form of confidence.

We’re constantly being told what success should look like, what career path we should follow, how we should behave and what we should want. But becoming “THAT girl” is secretly all about figuring out whether the blueprint even belongs to you.

The next big move in your life might not be saying yes, but rather asking why first.

Listen when: You’re questioning your major, career path, relationships, goals, or basically everything.

Your THAT-girl takeaway: You don’t have to accept the default. Ask better questions.

3. Working Hard with Grace Beverley đŸ’»

For the ambitious girl who is trying to build a big life without burning herself out.

Ambition gets a bad reputation sometimes.

We’re either told to hustle harder or reminded that we need to slow down, with approximately zero instructions for figuring out how to do both.

Entrepreneur Grace Beverley’s Working Hard explores careers, entrepreneurship, success, health, wellbeing and the messy reality behind achieving big goals. Rather than presenting success as one universal formula, the podcast brings on people from wildly different fields to talk about their journeys, mistakes and the lessons they wish they had known earlier.

That makes it especially compelling for anyone trying to figure out what their definition of success actually is.

Because working hard doesn’t have to mean working yourself into the ground.

Listen when: You’re feeling ambitious but don’t want your entire personality to become your productivity.

Your THAT-girl takeaway: Build a life you’re excited to live and not just a rĂ©sumĂ© that looks impressive.

4. The Gen She Podcast with Avni Barman 💡

For the girl who has an idea and is already thinking, “Wait
 could I actually build this?”

There’s something extremely motivating about hearing young women talk about creating things that didn’t exist before.

The Gen She Podcast, hosted by Avni Barman, is all about women, entrepreneurship, leadership and the ideas shaping the next generation. It’s the kind of listen that can turn a random 11 p.m. idea in your Notes app into something you actually want to pursue.

And that’s the beauty of entrepreneurial thinking: You start looking at problems differently. Instead of thinking, “Someone should fix that,” you start wondering, “What if I tried?”

You don’t have to launch a company tomorrow. But you might leave an episode feeling a little more willing to take your idea seriously.

Listen when: You have a million ideas and need a reason to finally do something with one of them.

Your THAT-girl takeaway: Your idea doesn’t have to be perfect or even fully formed to be worth exploring.

5. Tiger Sisters 🐯

For the girl who wants the career advice and the unfiltered sisterly commentary.

If a late-night conversation with your smartest friends somehow turned into a boardroom strategy session, it would probably sound like Tiger Sisters.

Hosted by sisters Cherie Brooke and Jean Luo, the podcast tackles money, power, love, leadership and career strategy with a mix of ambitious advice and actual personality. The sisters bring experience from Harvard and Stanford, Goldman Sachs and the tech world, but the conversations aren’t limited to traditional business talk.

And that combination is what makes the show so fun. You get strategic career advice and the reminder that ambition doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Your relationships, identity, choices and personal life are part of the equation too.

Listen when: You want to think bigger about your career and have a laugh while doing it.

Your THAT-girl takeaway: You can be strategic about your future without taking yourself too seriously.

Your Next Big Move Starts With a Question 💌

Maybe you’ve been waiting for a sign to apply for the internship or perhaps you have an idea you can’t stop thinking about. Whatever your next move is, remember that becoming “THAT girl” is all about being willing to ask better questions, take yourself seriously, change your mind, take the risk and keep going.

So put your headphones in, press play and let yourself get inspired.
