How to Dress for Fall in Hot Weather

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chapman chapter.

As much as we all love summer weather and the fashion that comes with it, it gets a little old when it’s 80 degrees in October. Here are a few ways to keep up with fall trends without getting heatstroke:

1. Denim jackets

Even if it’s not cold enough to need a jacket, denim is the way to go if you want a fall look without getting too hot. Bonus: you can match it with anything.

2. Ankle boots

Ankle boots let you dress like it’s still summer while adding a fall vibe to your outfit.

3. Stick to fall colors

Colors like burgundy, olive green or any neutrals can really add to your look without having to put on a sweater or jeans.

4. Thin materials

If the material is thin enough, you can wear any cute sweater or long sleeve.

5. Ripped jeans

The more distressed and loose they are, the better.
