Whether you need to grow your hair out from an awful cut you just got or you’ve always dreamt of having long and luscious locks, you may have had a difficult time waiting for your hair to grow. Just as having a healthy diet will result in helping you stay fit and having great skin, it will transform your hair as well. The foods listed below contain protein and essential nutrients that will not only help your hair grow faster, but also much healthier.

1. Salmon- Salmon is a rich source of protein and Vitamin D, which will help make your hair become much stronger. In addition, it contains omega-3 fatty acids, which will help produce the shiny and shimmering hair you see in hair commercials.

2. Almonds- Almonds are a great and high source of biotin. For that reason, these nuts will help make your hair grow faster and thicker.

3. Eggs: Eggs are an excellent source of omega-3s and they also contain biotin. However, it is not the egg white that will help make your hair grow longer, but instead the yolk.

4. Leafy greens: Vegetables such as spinach, Swiss chard, and kale are all excellent nutrient sources. Regular intake of these vegetables will help strengthen the roots of your hair as well as promote hair growth.

5. Sweet Potatoes and Carrots: These foods are loaded with Vitamin A and beta-carotene, which will help make your scalp and hair roots strong.
