When did you start singing and playing guitar?

I started playing guitar in middle school because I used to write songs all the time and wanted to be able to accompany myself. Some songs were about hamburgers and some were not bad for a middle schooler!

Do you have any interesting pre-show rituals?

I love to pray before any performance, it gets my head in the right place and calms me down.

How did the members of the Ivory Towers meet? How did you come up with your name?

I met my band mates through friends of friends. It was a process forming this band, but once we came together, it flowed so well and we could tell this was something special that we all wanted to pursue! We all had words we liked and wanted to use for a name, and Ivory was one of them. After throwing out a couple of ideas, three of us all thought “Ivory Towers” at the same time so we had to do it!

Descirbe the sound of the Ivory Towers.

Our sound could be described as vibey indie rock. We get our inspiration from bands like Ben Howard, Alt-J, Explosions in the Sky, and Lucy Rose!

What are you most excited about for the Ivory Towers?

We’re in the process of recording an EP, and I’m so thrilled to share the music we’ve been working on with people!Â
