What are your favorite parts about Chapman or Southern California?

I love going to the beach, especially at sunset or nighttime. It’s so relaxing to be able to unwind after a tough week and just relax on the sand; it’s impossible to not want to soak it up with it being so close.

What’s your favorite college memory so far?

My favorite college memory has, without a doubt, been winning Skit my freshman spring with The Book of Mormon. It was a grueling process with all of the practices, yet so rewarding to go through it with my brothers. I was a new member at the time, so it was not only a great win for us, but also an incredible bonding opportunity.

How do you manage being in Greek Life, a professional fraternity and going on tour?

Delts and AKPsi are pretty similar in my opinion. I love both, but I get different things out of them. I make the time, balance them really well, and it’s just because I really enjoy them. The band is a lot tougher. It’s a lot of flying and traveling. I do homework when we’re on tour; you can find me doing work in a Starbucks before shows — it’s a lot of overlap. I’m never focusing on one thing at a time.

How long have you been playing guitar? What’s the name of your band, and how long have you been playing in it?

My band’s called “Lizard Kingdom.” I’ve been playing in the band for six years, but I’ve been playing guitar for nine years.

What’s the best part about going on tour?

My favorite part about going on tour is seeing new places. I’m doing something I’m getting paid for; not just monetary, but I also get to meet all these cool people. Going on tour makes me feel vulnerable; it’s not home, and I don’t know anyone. It’s super strange, but I’ve never not had a place to stay. We’ve always had people take us in and give us amazing hospitality to make us feel like we’re at home even though we might be 16 hours away.

If you were to pick one album to listen to for a full month, what would it be?

Marvin Gaye. Just kidding. The new twenty one pilots album is dope. This is hard. OK “Computer” by Radiohead. Let’s go with Radiohead.

What’s your best pick-up line?

“Hey, do you like fruit? Yeah.

How about grapes? Yeah.

How about a date?”

What do you look for in a significant other?

They definitely have to love to laugh and be able to smile. They need to be driven and not take themselves too seriously. In all, just really like genuine, courteous, driven people. Oh, they also have to like memes, but not out-meme me.

What’s your ideal date?

Start at dinner out at Newport, somewhere with a sunset, maybe over at Balboa. We’d grab milkshakes somewhere and then walk on the beach. Simple.
