What inspired you to start a career in film?
I’ve always loved photography. Film is pretty much the same, only terrible hours and a miniscule chance of success.
Favorite memory on set this year?
I was working on short film in an alley in Santa Ana, where a nearby warehouse was hosting a boozed-up quinceanera. While I ran cable up and down the fire escape, a drunk teenager was splayed out over the stairs while his date gave him a blow job in time with the thumping mariachi music. They didn’t seem to mind when I tripped over them multiple times throughout the night.
10 years from now, what would you like your life to look like?
Like it is now, but with a bigger budget.
A lot of people tell you that you look like James Franco, how does that make you feel?
Probably a lot like how Dave Franco feels.
What do you look for in a girl?
The most important thing to me is that she is passionate and driven. It’s also important that she’s easy to talk to and open to my bizarre schedule.
