The Best Makeup Products For Spring/Summer

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chapman chapter.

With the California heat starting to fire up, your makeup doesn’t always have to be doomed. Here are some products that will stand the heat.

1. Benefit “The POREfessionals Primer”

Sephora- $31

The POREfessionals primer creates a base to keep your makeup on all day, no matter what the weather conditions are. It makes your skin feel so soft and makes your pores really disappear. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with oily skin or just for those hot summer days.

2. Marc Jacobs “Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation”

Sephora- $55

This Marc Jacobs foundation, although a bit on the pricier side, is well worth it to me. A little really goes a long way with this product. It’s even sweat and waterproof. It is the most full cover foundation I have ever tried (and I have tried a lot, trust me).

3. Rimmel “Stay Matte” Powder

Target- $4

This cheap, drugstore product really does the job of setting the foundation in your skin, so it doesn’t budge all day (or night). I would also recommend purchasing the powder with color versus the translucent one, because it will add to the coverage without making your face cakey.

4. “Hoola” Benefit Bronzer

Sephora- $29

This is for the pale girls who just need an all-around glow or for anyone who just wants a bit of contour. The color is not muddy and looks really natural since it doesn’t have any sparkles. This doesn’t move in the heat or pool either; it stays wherever you put it.

5. Nars Blush in the color “Orgasm”

Sephora- $30

This blush color, when applied with a light hand, gives the most natural color. It also lasts for a long time since you barely need to tap your brush into the pan to get any pigment. It also lasts a long time on your skin.
