This weekend Chapman’s Gamma Phi Beta hosted Airbands – a fundraising event for their philanthropy, Girls on the Run. Girls on the Run helps girls to be the best they can be by promoting positive body image and confidence while getting ready to participate in a 5k run. Each Greek chapter takes part in the fun event by pairing up and creating a short show filled with dancing, lip-synching, costumes, and themed music. Other guests such as the Black Student Union, Team Shaka, and Toxique also made an appearance. With a full house on Saturday night, Alpha Gamma Delta and Beta Theta Pi brought home the first place trophy with their boy bands versus girl group performance. Delta Gamma and FIJI took second with their 80s theme, and Tri Delta and Delta Tau Delta took third with show tunes. Best choreography went to Alpha Phi and AEPi, best costumes went to Shaka and Pike, and most creative went to the Black Student Union and Friends.
