5 Things That Prove You’re a Kid at Heart

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chapman chapter.

There are certain people in the world who seem more care-free and fearless; those are the people who are kids at heart. For them, life is an adventure, and they believe in their own wildest dreams. If you’re a kid at heart (KAH), chances are, these apply to you.

  1. They laugh a lot. Life is not a serious occasion most of the time. Even though life is hard, and things can pile on, KAH peeps understand that life isn’t that serious; laughing off the difficulties is much more fun.
  2. They find joy in the little things. Kids seem to get giddy and excited for the little things. Growing up, it’s easy to look past the little things like getting ice cream or watching a Disney movie with your friends, but the simple things give a lot of joy.

  3. They go BIG! KAH don’t have the word “impossible” in their vocabulary. They believe that anything is possible and aren’t afraid to go after what they are passionate about. Although it makes sense to think strategically and realistically, the passion KAHs have can push them to do extraordinary things.

  4. They want to learn. They have a sense of wonder about the world and strive to learn about everything and everyone. Learning new things is a new adventure they get to take on!

  5. They love unconditionally. It doesn’t matter what you look like or what you do, they just love you for who you are and would love to spend time with you! Who you are is not something they need to think and judge upon; life’s just better going hand in hand with others to them!
