Now that Thanksgiving and the week-long cooking event has passed, I would like to take this post to acknowledge those wonderful, extremely tasty treats and food combinations that keep us lazy girls happy! Whether we can’t/don’t want to/not sure how to cook, these snacks are super handy.

1. Easy Mac. Eeeespecially thanks to dorm life and the lack of a stove, microwavable cups of macaroni and cheese is the perfect solution if you can’t make it to the caf for a meal. Try Annie’s White Cheddar cups for a healthier (and yummier!) substitute.

2. Peanut Butter. A good source of protein and goes with practically anything! I am a sucker for dipping pretzels, Oreos (Parent Trap, anyone?), and bananas. The occasional spoonful is always a go-to!

3. Popcorn. If you get the right kind at the supermarket, this can be a super good and decently healthy snack! Always a plus to have something to nibble on while studying.

4. Quesadillas. Nothing hits the spot like a hot and cheesy quesadilla on a cold day. Don’t have a stove? Switch out the tortilla for some chips, and you’ve got nachos!

5. Fruit. Best part about eating healthy and snacking on fruit? There is not a lot of preparation needed… at all. Apples, bananas, strawberries (freeze-dried strawberries from Trader Joe’s are my kryptonite), mango slices, the list goes on!

I and other lazy ladies around the world give thanks to these goodies for being both delightful and easy, every day of the year. What lazy-girl snacks are you thankful for?
