I’ve been a soy and coconut milk drinker at Starbucks for years now, but I go nuts for almond milk. Dairy is not my friend, and when I heard that Starbucks was bringing almond milk to their menu, I was SOY excited.

I am not a huge fan of sweet drinks, so the fact that the Starbucks branded Almondmilk contains a third to half of the sugar compared to soy and coconut milk was an automatic boost to my excitement. Needless to say, I was hooked from first sip.

From my extensive knowledge of living a non-dairy life, I’m here to share with you five of my favorite drinks to try with Almondmilk.

1. Starting off super basic: I have to recommend a simple almondmilk latte, hot or iced. It’s not as sweet as a soy or coconut milk latte, but the almond milk brings out the nutty notes in the espresso. I recommend topping the hot latte with cinnamon – perfection.

2. Almondmilk mocha. DELICIOUS. It’s nutty, chocolatey, basically a candy in a drink. No complaints here.

3. Almondmilk caffe misto. Not quite as foamy as a misto with soy milk, but creamy altogether. Not a drink for the sweet tooths, but seriously satisfying. Plus, ordering a caffe misto can only make you sound like a refined coffee connoisseur.

4. Iced or hot coffee with almondmilk. A step above a black coffee: all the flavor but not quite as strong. Delicious.

5. Hazelnut latte with almondmilk. It tastes like a Ferrero-Rocher, and there is nothing bad I can say about that. Go nuts.
