These wives and girlfriends of soccer players have built fortunes on their fame, although some of them had a name before marrying or dating these athletic them, others took advantage of their position to become some of the most wanted celebrities.
1. In the number one spot we have Irina Shayk. This Russian beauty had a modeling career before she started dating one of the most popular bachelors, Real Madrid’s star Cristiano Ronaldo. However, her fame has escalated to a different dimension since their relationship became open. Shayk has been on the cover of magazines like Sports Illustrated. Her beauty contradicts pretty much every Russian stereotype, Shayk is known, and obviously admired by men, for her flawless tan and sculptural figure. As if dating Cristiano Ronaldo was not a good enough reason to be jealous of her.
2. She was already famous before becoming one of the most popular WAGs, so Victoria Beckham occupies our second spot on this list. Formerly known as Victoria Adams, she was a member of the internationally popular pop group Spice Girls. She married soccer star David Beckham when they were both at the zenith of their careers. 3. Sylvie Françoise van der Vaart, married to Dutch soccer player Rafael van der Vaart. She is considered to be the Dutch version of Victoria Beckham. However, Sylvie has more merits to gain people’s admiration. Sylvie is not only a devoted mother, a model and a television personality; she is also a cancer survivor. Ms. Van der Vaart doesn’t have anything to envy her husband, her soccer skills are very popular thanks to YouTube. In fact, she can do everything her husband does, the difference? 4. Yolanthe Sneijder-Cabau takes the fourth spot. Although she was born in Spain, Yolanthe is more popular in Netherlands, where she has a career as an actress and television host. She married Wesley Sneijder, who currently plays for F.C. Internazionale Milano, in 2010. She has been voted as the “Sexiest Dutch Woman” by the Dutch FHM.

Her careers as a singer has not been overshadowed by her husband’s success, they have both built a beautiful Christian family, and an incomparable fortune. It is not hard to spot Caroline hanging out with other WAGs, like journalist Sara Carbonero, who is currently dating Spain’s national soccer team capitan Iker Casillas, Nagore Aramburu (married to Xabi Alonso), and Carlota Ruiz (Alvaro Arbeloa’s wife).
