Hundreds of students danced the night- and the next day- away in the 13th annual UNC Dance Marathon that was held February 18-19 at Fetzer Gym. With the help of energizing songs, special musical performances and various games and activities, dancers managed to stay moving for a full 24 hours while raising $436,709.61 for patients at N.C. Children’s Hospital.
Decorations in the hallway leading to the gym correspond with the 2011 marathon theme, World Tour.
Inspirational posters cover the walls of the gym.
Visitors could donate to the marathon by depositing coins in containers.
Dancers are taught how to “Dougie” in a Zumba session led by Monica Doyle, Miss UNC 2010.
