Melissa Paniagua
Campus Correspondent

Melissa is a senior journalism/public relations major at The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. She was a fashion market intern at ELLE Magazine this summer. On Campus, Melissa acts as the Her Campus president as well as the special projects coordinator of the Carolina Association of Future Magazine Editors, UNC’s Ed2010 chapter. In the past, she has been an intern for Southern Weddings Magazine and a contributing writer for Her Campus. Melissa has an appreciation for all things innovative, artful and well designed and hopes to work in marketing for a women’s lifestyle magazine in the future.


Chelsea Lowell
Marketing Editor

Chelsea is a senior Advertising major in the UNC-CH School of Journalism and Mass Communication, orginally from Charlotte, NC. This summer she worked as an Account Management intern with BooneOakley, an advertising agency located in Charlotte. She currently interns with PR firm, Howard Merrell & Partners. Chelsea is also involved in AAF Ad Club, CAFME, Habitat for Humanity and Relay for life. In her spare time, she likes to swim, run and try new recipes. Chelsea has an obsession with sushi and Chace Crawford, of course. in the future, she hopes to work for an advertsing agency in NYC.



Caroline Jones
Co-Public Relations Director

Caroline works with the other Public Relations Director to update the Her Campus UNC Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as to publicize the news articles every week, and to coordinate special Her Campus events. Caroline is a junior from Goldsboro, NC double majoring in Journalism-Public Relations and Political Science. In addition to working with Her Campus, she is an active member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, the Carolina Athletic Association Special Projects Committee, the UNC Foorball Team’s Junior Blues program, and also works part-time as the marketing assitant for BMX event planning company. She loves watching moves, Carolina football and basketball, good music, the beach, and hanging out with her friends! After graduation she has big dreams to hopefully work in the public relations department for one of the NFL teams.


Megan McCluskey
Webmaster/Contributing Writer

Megan is a junior Journalism and French double major. She is originally from West Yarmouth, Mass., but moved to Chapel Hill when she was 12 years old. She is a contributing writer and a member of the MTV Insights Inner Circle for national Her Campus, as well as Webmaster, a contributing writer and a member of the public relations committee for Her Campus UNC. She hs also worked as an editorial assistant for Carolina Woman magazine and for the Online Desk of the Daily Tar Heel. Two summers ago, she studied abroad at the Sorbonne in Paris, France, where she quickly learned that her French pronounciation of the letter R will never be up to snuff. She is an obsessive New Englant Patriots and Carolina basketball fan, and loves spending time with her friends and family (including her dogs), the beach, traveling, reading, online shopping and bad Tex-Mex food.


Alexa Burrell
Graphic Design Editor

Alexa is a senior at UNC-CH originally from Aurora, Colorado. She is an editing and graphic design major through the journalism school. This year is her second year as a graphic design intern for UNC sports marketing and office assistant in the journalism school. Alexa is also a committee chair for her sorority, Phi Mu, as well as a member of CAFME, the Carolina Association of Future Magazine Editors. Alexa loves sports (especially Carolina basketball) and hopes that she can do design for a professional sports team after graduation.


Maggie Conner
Tresurer/Contributing Writer

Maggie is a junior majoring in environmental studies. Her small town, Columbus, is in the foothills of NC. She is passionate about women’s health, and wants to pursue a career in the field of OB/GYN. She is currently working in an HIV vaccine lab, and is training to become a UNC Hospital Volunteer Doula. On campus, she is also a study abroad peer adviser as well as a staff writer for the University desk of The Daily Tar Heel. She has a horse named Flipperdoodle and she loves to play volleyball.
