Five Spring 2011 Hong Kong-Inspired Looks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chapel Hill chapter.

Spring has arrived! In honor of the occasion, I decided to pair some of this year’s spring trends, from 70s glamour to color blocking, with a few of the popular sights to see in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is an eclectic city, full of culture, and these trends are sure to take off at a college campus near you.

1. Victoria Peak at Night
Spring 2011 Trend: Neutral tones
Pair with: Black pumps

2. Stanley Beach
Spring 2011 Trend: Sheer maxi
Pair with: Floppy hat, bathing suit

3. Lantau island
Spring 2011 Trends: Burnt orange, 70s glamour
Pair with: Platform sandles, flared jeans

4. Mongkok
Spring 2011 Trends: Neon colors, color blocking
Pair with: Bright-colored heels

5. Avenue of Stars
Spring 2011 Trends: Comfy clothes, playsuit
Pair with: Kitten heels, belt and/or headband

What do you think? Would you try out one of these looks on campus? Regardless, there’s plenty of variety with this year’s spring trends, so don’t be afraid to mix it up!
