I have no doubt that rising rap artist J. Cole will bring a new and unique sound to the music industry with the release of his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story. A talented writer and producer, J. Cole has earned the respect and support of fans all over the world. Jermaine Lamarr Cole was born in Germany and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina where he attended Terry Sanford High School. Upon graduating high school J. Cole went on to earn a degree in communications from St. John’s University in NYC.
When asked about the title of his album, J. Cole expressed that it is representative of his struggle to break into the music industry. J. Cole has already been compared to notable artists, such as Tupac and Nas, because of his level of social and political awareness. While the album is not set to release until September 27, J. Cole has agreed to release throw away tracks every Sunday until the album is released in a promotion called Any Given Sunday. The album is much anticipated and has been listed third best-selling rap and hip hop album on Amazon, just from pre-orders. Its high standing is preceded only by Lil Wayne’s The Carter IV and Kanye West and Jay-Z’s Watch the Throne.
My advice would be to order the album while you can, It will most definitely be a good one. Also, to those who have not heard from J. Cole, what are you waiting for?
