Well-versed and well-traveled, this week’s Campus Cutie, John Patrick Geraghty is nothing shy of amazing. He spends his free time producing some of the most entertaining and informative tweets I have seen. If he isn’t on a plane traveling to some awesome place, John can be found in Carroll Hall working on a killer journalism project. If we could all be a little more like John, the world would be a killer place.
Hometown: Upper Saddle River, NJ. Right outside of New York City in suburbia. The land blessed by the Jonas Brothers and cursed by the Housewives.

Celebrity Crush: Taylor Swift is forever & always my celebrity crush. Scooter Braun is my career crush – I hope to one day have a similar career.
Favorite city in the United States: L.A. makes me happy but New York is home.
Coolest place you have visited: Budapest. Coolest vibe ever.
Favorite hobby: Traveling! I love meeting new people, seeing new places, having new experiences, and sharing those experiences via Instagram. I’m trying to step up my Insta-game.
Favorite movie: I’m assuming it will be The Entourage movie coming next year. Definitely my favorite TV series, ever.
Guilty pleasure: Jimmy Kimmel’s “Mean Tweets.” Those tweets are almost as entertaining as Amanda Bynes’ or Jaden Smiths’.
HC: Tell us a little about the internship you had last summer!
JPG: This past summer I had the opportunity to intern with MTV Networks. I assisted in creating and executing integrated marketing campaigns for the channel’s scripted programming and for the iconic 2014 Video Music Awards. It was the best summer I could’ve possibly had (and not just because Ed Sheeran and I shared an elevator). I had great mentors – their work ethic and passion have inspired me tremendously.
HC: Who would play your character in a movie of your life?
JPG: I’m actually writing a screenplay about my experiences in college. How cool would it be to have a Netflix original series about my life? Logan Lerman would absolutely be the leading role. He’s dynamic and likeable.
HC: What are you currently playing on repeat?
JPG: “The Heart Wants What It Wants” by Selena Gomez. I mean, I’m big into discovering bubbling under artists – I blog and create playlists. Now that the rest of the world finally discovered Tove Lo and Hozier this year, I’ve rather started excessively replaying Ryn Weaver and Thomston’s debut EPs. Killer talents.
HC: If you could have any superpower what would it be?
JPG: To make everyone I meet automatically and permanently a little bit happier. I wish the world were happier.
HC: What is your favorite quote to live by?

HC: Who is your spirit animal?
JPG: Caesar Flickerman in The Hunger Games. If our world ever becomes dystopian society, I could totally see myself taking on a Jimmy Fallon meets Ryan Seacrest role. It’s important to laugh even in the bad times.
