Sophomore Ben Saunders may be the strong, silent type, but he’s sure got a lot of passion for the things that he loves. While Ben spends most of him time rowing along the water as a member of the varsity men’s crew team, you can also find him studying away in the Business school, cheering on the UNC basketball or taking classes at Franklin Street Yoga. After college, he hopes to work for a major consulting firm. But don’t worry girls, this campus cutie is still here for two more years!

Favorite Memory at Carolina: When we beat Kentucky at home my freshman year in basketball. It was just a really exciting game because Kentucky was top ten in the nation. When we came out of stadium it was snowing and everyone was out playing in the snow.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Ipanema Beach, Brazil

What do you do in your spare time? I like to go out with my friends to places like Top of the Hill. I also like to go to Franklin Street Yoga, sometimes on my own and sometimes with the crew team.

Describe your perfect first date? Something fun and laid back – and not with an awkward moment at the end of the date.

What do you look for in a girl? Definitely confidence, but the most important quality is having a good sense in humor.

What do you want to do after college? I want a career in marketing or consulting. Ideally, it would be with one of the big consulting firms, like Deloitte, because they’re really good employers.
