The trees in Chapel Hill are turning beautiful shades of white, purple, and pink. The breeze is getting softer and warmer, and the birds are beginning to chirp. Finally, it’s spring! As the atmosphere transitions into a beautiful sight, so must our beauty wardrobe. It’s time to follow the spring trend and brighten up our colors. Those dark burgundy shades and warm browns are last season – literally. Today’s article will talk about how to pair spring colors together to make sure your spring makeup pops!

1. Nude on Nude

This style is a classic that will never die. Pair a light brown eyeshadow with your favorite nude lip and you have the best “no makeup” makeup look. It’s great for everyday wear. For a little bit of a “pop,” apply a light shimmery shade in the inner corner of the eye. This will also make your eye look larger.

2. Pop of Pastel Color

Pastels are the perfect colors for spring. Just looking at pastel pinks, greens, and purples encapsulates the image of spring and Easter. For a fun and easy pop of color, get a light pastel color and just smudge some on your lower lash line. Add a small wing with your favorite liquid eyeliner. Pair this with a nude or a light pink and you have a bright and fun look to wear to the park or even to class.

3. Pink Lip

A favorite of mine is the pink lip: another simple, yet classy way to add a pop of color. I usually like to draw a wing eyeliner and add my hot pink lipstick. Although spring is usually correlated with pastels, hot pink is definitely in this spring! Your lips will be as bright as the flowers blooming near the quad.

These three trends are simple, easy, and fun to recreate. The great thing about these looks is that you only need a maximum of 2 products for each look! Maybelline, Cover Girl, and NYX are awesome brands that can help you achieve these spring time looks!
