Listening to music is essential to a person’s life. We love music and of course the musician. Knowing the story of the musician, seeing their success on screen is amazing to see how they started their successful journey. Below are my top four biopic movies focusing on the lives of some of the most influential artists ever.

1. What’s Love Got To Do With It  In light of the life of the amazing soul artist, Tina Turner (Angela Bassett) – conceived Anna Mae Bullock – finds her affection for singing in her Tennessee church choir. She moves to St. Louis to seek after a vocation, and there she meets the alluring Ike Turner (Laurence Fishburne), who rechristens her Tina and offers to enable her to succeed. As a melodic group, Ike and Tina overwhelm the diagrams. However, as his physical maltreatment compounds, Tina needs to settle on the intense choice to forget Ike and set individually.

This Biopic is one my all-time favorites about an Iconic woman that was in an abusive marriage and finally got the courage to fight back then eventually leave the marriage still alive; also still having her successful career. I also love this movie because Angela Bassett did an incredible job playing her role. Looking at the movie and then also seeing Tina Turner perform shows that the actors and actresses that their job serious on to make sure they are playing the character just like they were at one point.

2.  Selena In this personal dramatization, Selena Quintanilla (Jennifer Lopez) is naturally introduced to a melodic Mexican-American family in Texas. Her dad, Abraham (Edward James Olmos), understands that his young little girl is capable and starts performing with her at little scenes. She discovers achievement and succumbs to her guitarist, Chris Perez (Jon Seda), who gets under the skin of her dad. Looking for standard fame, Selena starts recording an English-language collection which, shockingly, she could never total.

Initially, I only watched Selena because of my big sister who forced me to watch anything and everything because she controlled the television. But when I was younger I actually thought Jennifer Lopez was Selena. She did an amazing job on portraying Selena. I always thought Selena’s story was unique and different from others and I am happy that it has been told. Because she was so young and her story needed to be heard. The movie is very emotional because of the death of the young 23-year-old.

3. Ray The depiction of Legendary soul artist Ray Charles is depicted by Jamie Foxx in this Oscar-winning biopic. Youthful Ray watches his 7-year-old sibling suffocate at age seven. When he loses his sight at 9 years old, his dedicated mother (Sharon Warren) urges him not to feel frustrated about himself. He ascends through the positions of the Seattle jazz scene, battling with illicit drug use and unfaithfulness while out and about. Bolstered by his better half (Kerry Washington), Ray Charles rethinks soul music and motivates an age.

This is one of the most emotional biopics that I have ever seen. The movie shows Ray Charles brother dying and then also shows Ray become blind. Jamie Foxx studied Ray Charles to make sure he was actually Ray. Jamie Foxx even glued his eyes shut to portray this part to the greatest of his ability. Foxx also had the opportunity to sit and talk to Ray Charles a few times before he passed during the making of the movie.

4. Bohemian Rhapsody  Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stepping festivity of Queen, their music and their exceptional lead vocalist Freddie Mercury. Freddie resisted generalizations and broke tradition to end up a standout amongst the most adored performers on earth. The film follows the transient ascent of the band through their notorious tunes and progressive sound. They achieve unparalleled achievement, however in a sudden turn Freddie, encompassed by darker impacts, avoids Queen in the quest for his performance vocation. Having endured extraordinarily without the coordinated effort of Queen, Freddie figures out how to rejoin with his bandmates in the nick of time for Live Aid. While fearlessly confronting an ongoing AIDS finding, Freddie drives the band in one of the best exhibitions in the historical backdrop of shake music. Ruler bonds a heritage that keeps on moving pariahs, visionaries and music sweethearts right up ’til today

This one of the best biopics I have ever seen. This movie had so much heart and soul to it within every character. Each character did their role to the best of their ability. The story of Queen is one of a kind alongside the Iconic Freddie Mercury and his journey of his short life. This movie did phenomenal when it came to the Live Aid performance.

While there are so many great biopics out, these four are top-tier and my absolute must-sees!
