The Netflix Original, Stranger Things, released its second season on October 27th. Yes, that was less than a week ago. I’m addicted to Netflix as you may know by now. After a year long wait, the anticipation was definitely at its peak. If you’re unaware of what Stranger Things is, I recommend that you stop reading right now and binge watch the entire show. Now, if you have seen Stranger Things and are familiar with it’s amazingness, you know what all of the hype is about. A show set in the 80s, with pretty much perfect execution of the time period, it’s simply amazing. It’s comedic, yet dramatic and scary all at the same time. It’s such a well rounded show, with kids as young as the main character Will, who’s about 11 years old, and the oldest being high schoolers and parents, all interacting and executing these complicated roles.
This season focuses on “The Shadow”, the new villain from the Upside Down. The Shadow is haunting Will, who was previously kidnapped and almost died while trapped in the Upside Down during season one. After being rescued, he soon realized that he is still stuck between both worlds. Will is eventually inhabited by The Shadow and begins spying on the team. The other main characters are on their own journeys, such as Eleven who finds her mother, and sister/fellow kidnappee. I don’t want to give away too much, so I’ll just give you guys a few hints.

The ending of this season will definitely surprise you all. We’ll definitely have something to look forward to in season three.

There are a few new characters, one of whom becomes a member of the crew and will help take down The Shadow. Although this character causes a lot of conflict between the crew, they’re a great addition to the shows cast, in my opinion.
-
Eleven finds her true identity and becomes more powerful than ever. Oh, maybe I should announce that she didn’t die at the end of season one, after all!
-
Jonathan and Nancy or Steve and Nancy? Not sure, it’s still up in the air for me.
-
Will’s mom, Joyce, is honestly losing her mind and it’s hard to watch at this point.
-
Arcade games play a huge role in this seasons plot.
Without further ado, I would like for all of you to take a look at Stranger Things season two on Netflix right now. It’s one of the last good originals we have left (yes, that was shade to all of the other amazing shows we lost in 2017). We would love to hear your take on it down below in the comments.
