Lil B & A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Quickly Squash Beef

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CAU chapter.

At last weekend’s much anticipated Rolling Loud Festival in the Bay Area, Lil B was jumped by A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, PnB Rock and their crew. Because of it, PnB Rock’s performance was quickly replaced by Kreayshawn. Although The Based God cancelled his performance, he decided to go on stage right before his set to give fans insight on why he would not be performing. His response was not at all surprising if you’re familiar with the character of the Berkeley, California rapper.

“A Boogie and his whole crew just jumped me in the back and beat me up. That sh*t crazy, man, “ Lil B announced to the crowd. “But I’m gon’ tell y’all like this, it’s all love. I don’t promote violence. I’m never with the violence, so I love them and it’s all good.” He later explained to the crowd why he received the beat down, stating that he offended A Boogie after saying something about his music.

The video of the altercation went viral on Twitter and Instagram. Many people were upset not only because of how many people were involved in inflicting harm on the rapper, but because of how many people were simply standing around, watching and recording.

Fellow artists expressed their concerns and favor for Lil B. Under a photo of A Boogie and PnB Rock posted on Boogie’s Instagram page, Drake commented, “Two sickos”. During their Rolling Loud sets, ScHoolBoy Q and Travis Scott took time during their performances to shout out The Based God, Scott saying, “Protect Lil B at all costs.” Elsewhere, Isaiah Rashad, Skepta, Big Sean, G-Eazy, Kaytranada, and many others were among those who showed their support for Lil B.

As of October 23, Lil B and A Boogie have apparently made amends thanks to a phone call set up by Kilo Curt of the late Mac Dre’s Thizz Entertainment group. The phone call has resulted in unity between the east and west coasts, according to Lil B.

Check out the tweets below and consider the beef squashed between A Boogie and the almighty Based God.
