What has been your greatest accomplishment your first year at CAU?: My first college play production “The Bluest Eye”
HC: Around campus eeryone knous you as Rai(2x) ( Ray Two-times). Where did this nickname come from?
Ray: My mentor, Cafabian
HC: Out of all the majors our university has to offer, why Theatre and what sparked your interest in acting?
Ray: I’ve always wanted to act, but at first it was gonna be a Mass Media Arts major. So I choose to major in Theatre so I could always teach it, if I don’t make it ; To live someone else’s story
HC: Although your character is Darlene in the play, what character can you relate to?
Ray: I can relate to Cholly because he wasn’t raised by his mom and neither was I. Cholly is me. What he was feeling during the funeral, when his Aunt Jimmy died I could relate to it. In the scene where my character Darlene is trying to make him feel better, I have friends like that who didn’t know how to comfort me. So I know exactly how Cholly was feeling
HC: How was meeting DC Young Fly, he’s so hilarious?
Ray: At first I didn’t like him, and then I saw him at Cascade Skating Rink and I was like He is so fine. He is way better in person. I follow him and watch all his social media stuff. I love him now! HC: What is something people don’t know about you? Ray: I don’t like being be myself… Because I feel like I can get real sad when I’m by myself. In July 24th, my grandma, who I was raised by, passed, so around this season I become sad. So that’s why I try to stay busy and make people laugh to distract me from being sad.
HC: What are somethings you want to do in the future?
Ray: I wanna be build a park after my Mama and go to Jamacia one day.
HC: There have been many people on campus taking ote of your stlylish ways….. we want to copy your style, what stores do you go to?
Ray: I mix and match my clothes, some clothes I’ve had for long. I order online on H&M and Forever 21 and I shop at West End Mall.
HC: Just a little curious about your love life. You are a wonderful womand and really funny, is there a special person in your life?
Ray: No I don’t. Mentally I’m not ready for a relationship. I’ve only had one boyfriend. HC: What are some things that you look for in a guy. Ray: I love tall dark skin guys who are humble with nice teeth. These dudes be having jacked up teeth. And I like funny guys, but I don’t dudes who can’t eat old cookies. LITERALLY If you can’t eat two day old cookies, you not for me.
HC: Man of us are annoyed by the little things of life and peopel. What irks your nerves?
Ray: Rudeness. For example, when I was running for miss freshman and this girl said no shut up talking to me. And I was like Your rude, that’s not attractive. Or when people slide they feet on the ground. And I don’t like when I get my way.
