The end of the year is near, and with it, a recess more than deserved for all of us. After so many commitments, obligations, frustrations and a lot of group Works (hahah), finally our pause, our moment of rest, our favorite time of the year it is here = vacations! And nothing better than enjoy this little time in the best way that it’s: reading!

So prepare your mind and especially your heart, because we separate some trilogies for you dip your head in this universe… We are sure that you won’t regret!

To start, nothing more nothing less than our lovely Colleen Hoover <3

Famous for the numerous love stories already published, the American is the main author of the new adult genre in the United States and does not leave us to be desired when the subject “trilogies” comes to the fore. In dealing with such common and at the same time complex themes, the reality is part of the writing in the pages and captivates when transforming the situations of the books so real. Here we separate an option from Colleen’s books for you!

Slammed (2012)

The first work of Colleen tells the story of Layken, an 18-year-old girl that after face her father’s death, needs to move to start a new life with her mother and younger brother. From this moment, her path intersects with Will’s – her neighbor – who, incredible as it may seem, identifies with this new reality of the girl. However, as always, not everything is flowers and several inopportune events interfere in their relationship causing a big plot twist in the history.

Following this romantic line, so to speak, we brought to you a series of books that made a lot of success when were published in 2012. The Selection, created by Kiera Cass, took up space on the shelves of many girls out there.

In portraying a fictitious reality, the story takes place in Illéa: a young country with a society divided in caste ruled by the monarchy. Written in the first person, who narrates is the main character America Singer, a girl that passes through a selection and then is the one chosen to marry with Prince Maxon and to begin his life leaving behind his family and Aspen, an old love.

Involving many factors that enchant, Kiera was right in writing and even though it is considered a little “childish” is worth very much.

Going through a more intriguing reading, The Orphanage of Miss. Peregrine For Peculiar Children could not be left out. Something different from the options above, the trilogy made by the incredible Ransom Riggs in 2011 involves anyone who reads it. After all, who does not like story that contains time travel, creativity and in particular many mysteries?

Happening in Wales, a story revolves around Jacob Portman and the puzzles that haunt his grandfather’s past. A reading that holds you from start to finish!

Giving now a space for fantasy ….. The Lord of the Rings is a great option if you literally want to get out of reality. The play written by Tolkien in 1954 captivates so many faithful fans that they are re-reading the books and those who know it for the first time.

The work begins as a sequel to an earlier book, The Hobbit, and is divided into three parts. A ring is the central factor of the saga, and because of that, it involves several characters, one very different from the others. Dwarves, elves, orcs, and hobbits are among the many creatures in the pages besides the mighty wizards that are essential in building the storyline.

Obviously, those who do not like this well-traveled theme will not be interested soooo much, but it’s worth giving the ring story a chance with their incredible and funny characters. Gollum would be proud of you …….

To conclude, two of the trilogies that were very successful as soon as they were released. These, undoubtedly, you have heard and perhaps already know the story. However, we all know that reading the books creates a much better experience with the details. So, to finish the nominations, we chose our dear Hunger Games and the Divergent saga! Hunger Games (2008) Written by Suzanne Collins, the trilogy has captured the hearts of young people and adults. Dealing with more topics …. seriously as politics, for example, Hunger Games contains a little of everything in its pages. Action, romance, adventure and lots of excitement!

The story takes place in a distant future, whose population of North America is divided into 12 different districts. Each year, all districts are forced to send a boy and a girl to compete in a deadly game, and fight each other until only one survivor remains. However, everything changes when Katniss Everdeen offers herself as a tribute and makes a mess in the Capital.

Divergent (2011)

Like the trilogy quoted above, the Divergent saga – written by Veronica Roth – is also happening in North America, in Chicago more specifically, but in a more futuristic way. The city is divided into five factions, which work in different areas. Each person can only be part of one, but there are those that are considered divergent, which are physiologically part of more than one. This group is feared by all because, apparently, they are not good people. Meanwhile, Tris, the main character, comes to change that.

Well, now you can not complain that you have nothing to do on vacation … We hope you have enjoyed the nominations and enjoy to live a new reality. After all, leaving a little of our world to give a good trip does very well!
