Unfortunately, Marvel‘s first series for Disney+ came to an end this month. The last episode shows how powerful Wanda Maximoff is and made fans cry their eyes out. “WandaVision” ended and left us with several questions and expectations for the future of the Marvel Cinematography Universe. So, now that WandaVision is over, what is to come? There are many theories about the multiverse, and the title of the sequel of Doctor Strange, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, indicates that it is almost certain that we will finally see a multiverse in the MCU. Now, the only thing we can do is create more theories and wait for the Doctor Strange 2 movie, in which our dear Scarlet Witch is confirmed!

If you haven’t watched the last episode of WandaVision, please be careful from now on, because there will be * spoilers *.

What will happen to Monica Rambeau?

“WandaVision” left a lot of loose ends for the fans to theorize over. One of them is: what’s to expect from Monica Rambeau? Or what happened between her and Captain Marvel? We know that Monica wins her powers after entering the Hex for the third time. The new heroine acquires the ability to see waves of energy, and can now transform and manipulate any type of energy. The end of the last episode gives us a hint that Monica will probably meet with Carol Danvers again, so we are most likely to see her as a new hero in the upcoming “Captain Marvel 2”.

Where’s Mephisto?

Despite the fans’ desire to see the villain from the comics Mephisto on the show, he didn’t make an appearance at the end of the series, making it very clear that it was Agatha all along (we know you sang it in your head).

In the comics, Scarlet Witch’s children, Billy and Tommy, are conceived by the magic of Wanda, who unknowingly uses two pieces of Mephisto’s soul to create the twins. So, as soon as the series showed the birth of Billy and Tommy, several MCU fans theorized about Mephisto being behind the Hex.

However, the second post-credit scene, which shows Wanda hearing a call for help from her children, could be a possible loophole for the villain’s entry into the MCU.

Still waiting for Doctor Strange…

Everyone was expecting Doctor Strange to appear at the end of the last episode, but unfortunately, that also didn’t happen. So, now we can only wait for “Doctor Strange 2”, expected to premiere in 2022, to see the dynamics between him and the Scarlet Witch.

The second post-credit scene reveals that Wanda is studying the Darkhold, apparently to understand her own magic. The magic she uses to disconnect her soul from her body ir order to study it looks just like Strange’s… So he may have an important role as someone to help Wanda control her powers. In the comics, the Darkhold is connected with the demon Chthon. Could he be the villain of the new Stephen Strange movie? We think so.

Is this the beginning of the X-Men?

With the appearance of Evan Peters, who plays Quicksilver in the 20th Century’s X-Men movies, we all thought that we could see the beginning of the mutants on the MCU. But, as you can imagine, that was another failed theory. In this last episode, we discover that Pietro or “Fietro” was actually an actor called Ralph, who was being controlled by Agatha Harkness. All that for nothing.

However, everything indicates that in the next Doctor Strange movie we will see the multiverse, right? This means that everything is possible, but also that, in the future, we will be able to see the mutants and even the Fantastic Four. We also know now that Wanda is a witch, and that’s probably why the mind stone amplified her powers and she survived that test portrayed in the journey she and Agatha take through her memories. But if Wanda survived because she is a witch, how did her brother, Pietro, also survive the mind stone? Could he have the mutant gene then? We hope to see this in phase 4 of the MCU.

What about Agatha?

One theory that Marvel fans got right was that the friendly neighbor Agnes was actually a powerful witch: Agatha Harkness. The series shows a bit of her origin and in the last episode, we see that her goal is actually to acquire Wanda’s power.

But in the end, Wanda defeats her and transforms her back to her character of the “nosy neighbor” of Westview, now without the ability to control it.  In the comics, Agatha acts as a mentor to Wanda and teaches her many things about magic, which leaves us in doubt: what’s yet to come with Agatha Harkness? Remember what Wanda said: “I’ll be seeing you, Agnes“.

Although most of the questions were answered at the season finale, there are a few questions left, like: Who did Jimmy Woo call asking for help? What happened to the white Vision? Where are Wanda’s kids? We hope to have the answers to those questions in the next Marvel movies. So we’ll keep waiting here if you want to join us. Next up, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, “Captain Marvel 2” and “Spider-Man: No way home”.
