As a huge metropolis, Sao Paulo has two main airports. The first, an International airport, Guarulhos, is one of the largest in Latin America and quite far away from downton Sao Paulo. The second is Congonha, the national airport in the South part of the city. From there, you can take a plane to Rio de Janeiro, Salvador or even Buenos Aires. Check some great picture from Gabrielli Menezes about this airport peculiarities.
