It’s time to take the red socks out of the wardrobe, bake cookies, join the family and, obviously, watch the typical Christmas romantic movies. We brought you some movie recommendations that can’t be missed for your Christmas!

1. Last Christmas (2019)

George Michael + good romance + Christmas time = the perfect match.

Starring Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding, “Last Christmas”, released in 2019, tells us a story about a selfish woman who tries to grow in life and ends up meeting her opposite who teaches her about life. For lovers, there’s no more romance than the songs of George Michael, and to our surprise, Kate (played by Emilia Clarke), fulfills the fan role and guides us to a story of love and overcoming, along with a perfect soundtrack.

2. Falling for Christmas (2022)

How could a spoiled heiress and a misfit widower fall in love? “Falling for Christmas”, a Netflix original movie, brings Lindsay Lohan — a darling from the movie screens — and Chord Overstreet — a heartthrob from the American series “Glee” — to experience an unlikely romance.

After Sierra loses her memory in a skiing accident, she ends up in Jake and his daughter’s care and has to learn a little bit more about life outside the riches.

This is the perfect romance to fall in sighs during the holiday season.

3. The Holiday (2006)

If you almost forgot, I come to remind you: single lives matter!

“The Holiday” is kind of a comfort movie, so it will harm couples and lovers but it might disappoint singles too.

Starring a dream cast with Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, and Jack Black, this movie teaches us about putting ourselves in first place before we surrender to any relationship that adds nothing to us while encouraging us to give our heart and be more confident.

During the holiday season, Amanda (played by Cameron Diaz) and Iris (played by Kate Winslet) end up switching their homes on vacation and experiencing the best that love can offer them.

4. Love Hard (2021)

Would you have the courage to cross the country and leave everything behind to meet someone? Natalie had it… but obviously, she didn’t succeed.

Starring Nina Dobrev, “Love Hard” shows us the typical kind of romance that we are already used to and certainly love: opposites attract.

We can see that the love of our lives is often right under our noses, and not on the other side of the country.

5. Holidate (2020)

For all kinds of relationships, Sloan and Jackson show us a new one: the “Holidate”. They stay together on the holidays just to not be alone, there’s no commitment, no demand, jealousy… but could they really leave it at that?

To follow Aunt Susan’s modern advice, Sloan decides to bet on fleeting relationships for just one night, or rather, a holiday. What she and her temporary partner, Jackson, didn´t expect, is that their hearts are going to be in love not only during the holidays. Starring Emma Roberts, Luke Bracey, and Kristin Chenoweth, this movie is a perfect choice for anyone who is in doubt about giving in or not… and maybe it could be you!
