Since the hit Despacito, released in 2017, the music industry has seen Latin productions with other eyes. Packed with powerful lyrics, engaging rhythms and wonderful melodies, Latin Artists are becoming stronger and receiving the international recognition they deserve.

On top of that, we introduce seven talented ones who everyone needs to know.

Sebastian Yatra, Colombia

Caution! Sebastian Yatra will probably become your next crush when you start listening to his songs! The singer, songwriter and music producer was born in Medellín (Colombia). In 2016, Yatra released Traicionera, his first big hit, which was the beginning of a great career that includes international acknowledgment. Nowadays, he has already made collaborations with Aitana, Danna Paola, and even Jonas Brothers. Sebastian Yatra stands out from other singers because of his charisma that enchants everyone. No Hay Nadie Más, A Dónde Van and Chica Ideal are songs you cannot miss.

TINI, Argentina

Martina Stoessel, or simply Tini, made her mark on the childhood of many, starring the Disney Channel soap opera Violetta in 2012 – for which she is still remembered by the songs she sang. But what many people don’t know is she pursued a musical career after Violetta, TINI has already collaborated with Greeicy, Sebastian Yatra and Karol G. Most of her songs are sexy and funny, moving between pop and reggaeton, as it can be listened to in Fresa, Quiero Volver and Playa.

Greeicy, Colombia

Greeicy has familiarity with the musical universe since she was a child, as long as the Colombian had singing, flute and guitar lessons. The openness of her life as a professional singer happened in 2017, with the launching of three singles: Brindemos, Error and Despierta. However, it was with the hit Amantes, feat Mike Bahía, that she exploded in the music industry. Nowadays, Greeicy is one of Latin pop’s dearest artists and has collaborations with TINI, Danna Paola and even Anitta. Jacuzzi, her song with the Brazilian singer, catches the public’s attention with its involving rhythm

Danna Paola, México

Danna Paola has a career spanning almost twenty years, in which she divides her time between acting and singing. One of her most successful jobs was in the Netflix Original Production “Elite”, where played the unforgettable Lu during three seasons. Despite all the success, she has recently decided to dedicate herself completely to music (which is not a goodbye to acting). Her lyrics focus on situations that she or a close friend has experienced, besides empowerment, freedom and self-love, topics that are always in evidence in her songs. It’s possible to hear it in tracks like Mala Fama, Sola and Calla Tú. Danna transmits truth in everything she sings, there is no artist like her to encourage everyone.

Lasso, Venezuela

The Venezuelan singer and songwriter Lasso is the owner of the softest and most involving songs from all of Latin America. When it comes to music, he distinguishes by his creativity. The perfect example for it is his current job, Cuatro Estaciones, a project that involves four EPs, each one with the name of a year’ season, portraying the four stages of a love relationship. Inside this production, everybody needs to listen to Quiero Que Me Quieras, Ibuprofeno and Subtítulos, his song with Danna Paola.

María Becerra, Argentina

Before starting a musical career, María Becerra used to upload vídeos on a YouTube Channel, where she talked about everything, but the Argentine’s real dream was to get into the music world. In September 2019, María launched her first EP 222, starting her journey within the industry. From that moment until now, the singer has amazing songs like Perdidamente, Tu Lady and High Remix, track including TINI and the Spanish Lola Índigo. The success of this collaboration was tremendous and consolidated María Becerra as a very influential artist in the urban music genre.

Denise Rosenthal, Chile

Born in Chile, Denise Rosenthal is an actress and singer who inspires everyone. Even before signing with a record company, she had already edited her first album independently, titled Fiesta. In 2016, Denise signed her first contract and was able to grow even more as a singer. She emits empowerment and self-esteem and also deals with necessary themes in her songs, like beauty stereotypes, self-acceptance and social concerns, mainly related to Chile. In April 2020, the Billboard Magazine distinguished Denise Rosenthal as an artist who needs to be discovered. Following the magazine’s saying, Dormir, Lucha En Equilibrio and Santeria, a collaboration including Danna Paola and Lola Índigo, are songs you need to discover.
