This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Casper Libero chapter.

If you’re on college and work as an intern, we know there’s no much time left at the end of the day. Some of us are engaged on other activities, live far from the university and the job and even try to keep up with the social life. It’s not the easier of the scenarios, so, eventually one or two parts of our lives get neglected. Maybe it’s a smart choice to focus on what is the most important for us at the moment, but perhaps there are some things we can do to change this situation.

Beauty can be one of these parts. If it’s something you believe is worth your attention, dedication and money, then we have great news: there are ways to create a simple, easy and fast beauty routine. 1. Eyelash curler to get the perfect eyeliner

Getting that perfect eyeliner can be really hard for some of us, so, it’s been a long while since makeup lovers started to think of some alternative ways of achieving it. From putting some adhesive tape on the top of the eyelids to using hair clips as a “eyeliner stamp”, we bet you probably have already tried some of the tips.

But have you ever considered an eyelash curler as a way of drawing a great black line over your lashes? Because you better believe: it can be lifesaving. All you have to do is to use an eyeliner, to paint the inside of the superior section of the eyelash curler, and apply it, just like doing for the original use of the equipment.

The black line stamp will appear as magic, and here’s your eyeliner done! It can end up a little bit light and not-so-perfect on the edges, but as long as now you’ve already got a prototype, it’s easy to correct any imperfection you might find.

2. Capillary Schedule Apps

Some years ago, one new beauty routine emerged on the internet and got really famous: we’re talking about the cronograma capilar, translated as “capillary schedule”. It consists on determining what your hair, damaged or not, really needs, and organizing a system of hydration, nutrition and reconstruction. According to the hair care brand Salon Line, it’s recommended to every hair type and can actually solve a lot of little – or big – issues you might struggle with your hair.

Developing one that fits your needs might take some time and studying of yours, so, thinking about that, some capillary schedule apps were created. “Meu Cronograma Capilar”, “Cronocap” and “Cronograma Capilar” are some examples, and they are pretty easy to be used.

We downloaded “Meu Cronograma Capilar” and the first thing you have to do in order to create your chronogram is to answer a quiz. You need to put some information about your hair’s actual condition, and according to its needs, the app generates a complete program for you to follow. All the steps are specified and there’s a remember option, that appears on your phone as a notification so you won’t forget the treatment. The app also offers a premium option, with more services.

3. Magic Nail Polish Remover

Done with the impractical cotton and acetone combination? Freaking about the sticky nail polish remover wipes? Good news: you don’t have to worry about it anymore. It’s been some time since the magic nail polish removers were put on the market. They consist in small bowls, filled with a big sponge soaked in acetone, that work just like magic: all you have to do is to sink your finger on it and all the nail polish will be gone.

They’re available on cosmetic stores but, even better, are easy to be produced at home. All you need is a bowl, a piece of sponge to fill the hole space and acetone. Easy and practical, right? Just put it on your purse and don’t ever worry about how are your nails looking anymore.

Where to buy

1. Nail Polish Remover Studio 35 Express | R$ 11,99 – Drogaria São Paulo

2. Nail Polish Remover Sponge for Needs | R$ 12,79 – Droga Raia

3. Boujoirs Nail Polish Remover Dissolvant Miraculeux | R$ 54,99 – Lojas Americanas

4. Argan Nail Polish Remover Sponge for Farmax | R$ 10,90 – Submarino

5. Nail Polish Remover Aviva for Jequiti | R$ 34,90 – Loja Jequiti

4. Castor Oil

After the coconut oil buzz, now the castor oil – known as óleo de ricino in portuguese – is all over beauty groups on Facebook. Wanna make your hair grow? Eyebrows and lashes too? Then this vegetable oil could be everything you ever wished for, according to some people who have already tested it. But we should take a step back and analyze some qualified opinion, right?

The dermatologist Íris Flório, member of the Brazilian Society of Dermatology and Surgical Clinic (SBDCC), told Her Campus the miracle castor oil effects to grow hair have never been scientifically proven. “It cannot be used as a treatment to any pathology without medical orientation”, Flório explained and, also, didn’t recommended the product for cosmetic purposes.

If you still want to try it, the doctor said castor oil “can eventually be used as moisturizer for dry hair and skin”, but is not the best choice if you’re trying to grow your lashes or find a way to beat acne.

This case is a great example of why we should always be aware that skincare is not a joke: we must always seek for professional opinion, since it’s not because the product worked for your friend that it will have the same effect on you, mainly when we’re talking not scientifically proven stuff. Maybe the castor oil can be an amazing product for you, but the only person who can ensure it is your dermatologist.

5. On-Demand Beauty Services Apps

If you’re routine is excruciating and there’s no time left to do all the beauty things you wish you could, then technology is probably gonna be your best friend from now on. Open your App Store, search for “on-demand beauty services” and voilà, here’s a new world for you to explore.

Here in Brazil, one example is TapGlam, that created in January of 2017, by Pamela Doratioto, offers on-demand hair, nail, makeup, massage and wax services. The CEO Pamela was living in New York when got in touch with this kind of services and thought it could be successful in Brazil. “She started studying the market and, in 2016, got to discuss the topic with the company’s partners”, TapGlam team explained to Her Campus.

The app has a group of beauty professionals working in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Goiânia, Belo Horizonte, Salvador and Trancoso, but the services, when booked for wedding groups, can also be scheduled for some other cities. If you’re wondering about the price, they are fixed: we downloaded it and found out hands and feet service, together, will cost you R$ 60, while R$ 45 when separated.

You can find some other options in your App Store, such as “Dellas Beleza Delivery” and “Singu”. Download them all, pick your favorite and book your first on-demand massage after that stressing week.
