#5 Destinations in Brazil to Enjoy The Spring

The spring is one of the most beautiful times of the year with all the flowers growing at the gardens. If you love this season, I brought a few places you can visit and enjoy the nature!

Holambra

Holambra is the first city we remember when we talk about flowers and spring. There we feel like we are in Europe and that’s also the reason it is call “Holambra”, the whole city architecture and places look like Holland. Only two hours from the capital São Paulo, Holambra is a charming and beautiful spot to enjoy this time of the year. The place is known by being “the city of flowers” since it responsible for 45% of the production of flowers in Brazil. The dutch style is everywhere: the architecture, the windmills, flower fields, parks, and even the gastronomy. It’s fun to see the historical museum and know more about the history of Holambra while doing a city tour.

Nova Petrópolis

The small city at Rio Grande do Sul is close to the famous city “Gramado”. Nova Petropolis is full of beautiful places with flowers that get even prettier in the spring. The South of Brazil is known for looking like Europe and this city could be a good example of this architecture. There you can visit the “Flower Square” to take pictures at the beautiful nature, see the “Monument of co-operativism”, go to the “Green Maze” and have fun trying to find the way out. It’s nice to also visit the “Immigrant Village Park” to know about the history of the city and enjoy the beauty of the forest.

Joinville

Joinville is a city in the state of Santa Catarina also in the South of Brazil. It’s the perfect place if you want to know more about the German culture, architecture and cuisine. The city is known as the city of flowers, bicycles and nationally recognized as the city of dance. There you can enjoy a day visiting museums, parks and also discover the natural beauty such as the beach, trails and mangroves. It’s a nice spot to enjoy this season because it’s full of beautiful gardens and flowers that bloom in the spring. Joinville is also an historical place. Don’t miss the “Memory Station” if you are into this type of things.

Campos do Jordão

Campos do Jordão is a city two and a half hours from the capital São Paulo and is known to be really cold because it is in the mountain range of the state. But, if you don’t like cold that much, it might be fun to visit the place in the spring, because there is a beautiful nature, with nice parks and gardens. At Campos do Jordão you can enjoy the “Capivari Village”, a thematic neighborhood inspired in Europe. If you want to really enjoy the sping you can go to the “Amantikir Park” where there is an extensive area of ​​lawns, lakes and flower beds. So good for a walk! And If you have kids that want to play “Tarundu” is the perfect place: there are zip lines, minigolf, orbitball, tree climbing, paintball and a many other activities.

Curitiba

The beautiful city in the state of Paraná at the South of Brazil is famous for the “Botanical Garden” the main touristic point of the city, that is especially beautiful at this time of the year with all the flowers. Besides that, there are many others beautiful gardens and parks to visit in Curitiba like the “Tingui Park”, the “Bacacheri Park” and the “Tangua Park”. It’s also fun to visit the museum “Oscar Niemeyer”, go to the “Franco Italiano Winery” and to the “Ukrainian memorial”. Curitiba it’s also a fun city to just walk around discovering nice streets like the “November 15th”.
