Good Girls premiered last year in the United States but was only available on Netflix in July 2018. The TV show tells the story of 3 women, also mothers, who are trying to improve your financial conditions and decide to steal a supermarket. After that, they get involved in a lot of trouble.

When sisters Beth (Christina Hendricks) and Annie (Mae Whitman) and their best friend Ruby (Retta) become fed up with playing by the rules and not getting the respect they deserve, they band together to take control of their lives – by holding up a local grocery store.

Beth is the perfect wife and mother, but her used-car-dealing, cheating husband has sent her family into financial ruin; Ruby is happily married to a policeman but can’t afford the medical bills and experimental drugs to help her daughter; and Annie, a single mom, is caught in a nasty custody battle with her ex. In desperate need of money, the women plan the heist expecting to ease their financial burdens. But new to the game of crime, they get pulled in deeper than they ever imagined – and the only way out of this will be together.

Here’s a list of why you should watch it!

#1 Girl Power

The cast is led by 3 amazing and strong women, dealing with problems and situations that any of us could be going through. They do anything for their families and don’t give up easily. Despite being robbers, they are not the villains — and as in La Casa de Papel, you’ll be on their side.

#2 Plot twist

There is nothing predictable on this TV show! A sequence of unusual events makes the series even better, and each episode brings a new problem with their bad decisions to be free from the debt of the market’s assault.  Besides that, the show discusses important themes like bullying, financial difficulties, serious health problems and betrayal.

#3 Just like us

What is most interesting in the show is that you can identify to any situation that they are going through. Three mothers who have different problems but do everything they can to bring a little of peace to their homes.  Besides that, the protagonists also represent a kind of pattern breaking, none of the actress fit the beauty television’s stereotype.

#4 Chemistry among the actress

Beth Boland and Annie Marks play the role of  sisters and who completes the trio is Ruby Hille. You can feel the friendship and love between them. It seems like they are friends for the entire life!
