Besides these movies, there are six more that were indicated, and have premiered earlier in Brazil. Here is another short list for you to watch at your house.

#1 Get Out

Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams) go on a trip to meet her parents. The only concern he has is that he is her first black boyfriend, and he doesn’t know how her family will treat him. When they get in her parent’s house, weird people who work there – you must know, all of the employees are black – start to creepy him out, and he wants to go home. Although the movie is a thriller, it will also make you think about the society.

#2 The Post

With Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks, this movie already has everything to be great! It tells the story about the journal The Washington Post, the first female female publisher of a major newspaper and and their attempts to publish the Pentagon Papers (documents regarding the 30-year involvement of the United States government in the Vietnam War).

#3 The Shape of Water

A Guillermo Del Toro movie, so you can expect fantasy and messages for you to think about.  In this one, Elisa (Sally Hawkins), a mute woman who works as a cleaning lady, meets a creature locked on a laboratory, more specifically, a fish man – or something like that. They develop a special and different bond and she will do everything she can to protect him. The Shape of Water it the most nominated movie in the Oscar this year, with 13 nominations. You can’t miss it!
