2000s Series To Marathon Again On Vacation

July is just around the corner, and after another semester having remote classes, we more than deserve a whole month with less things to do and more time to rest. Starting on July 1 st for most students, winter vacation is a great time to marathon as many TV series as possible, especially, since there are still necessary some restrictions to travel and go out due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Under these conditions, many people are staying home for the entire month, and sometimes there are not enough things to do to fill all the free time, and that’s when TV series come along. Why not use this time to marathon some shows that marked the last decades? So get to know series from the 2000s to watch again this July.

This iconic TV show from the late 90s and early 2000s must be the one to star this list. Over 20 years after the first episode aired, this series is still an international phenomenon, gaining new viewers every day. Available on HBO Max – which launches in Brazil on June 29 th – Friends sure is a great option to start our vacations.

Funny, light, and real, this show has the incredible ability to make you laugh and feel what the characters are feeling almost every episode. And to make it even better, the friends reunion episode is also going to be available with the rest of the series on HBO Max.

Modern Family

Modern Family is a sitcom about families. This series launched in 2009 and went on for 11 seasons, showing the life of three families and the challenges they face along the way. This show is beautiful and funny, and it is impossible not to feel close to the characters. You can be sure that, at some point, you will see the characters doing something that is just like you and your own family. If you want to watch it, Modern Family is available on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Globoplay. Once you start, a whole season will go by without you noticing how much time has passed.

Gilmore Girls

Gilmore Girls and its 7 seasons are available on Netflix. The show is about the relationship between a single mother, Lorelai Gilmore, and her daughter, Rory Gilmore while they face the challenges of high school, college, first love and Friday night dinners at the grandparents’ house. With the right amount of drama, romance, and funny moments, this TV series that launched in 2000 is also a great option for the ones looking for a show to marathon this July, while having some hot chocolate and popcorn under a blanket in the living room.

Grey’s Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy – available on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Globoplay – is a show for the brave ones. This famous medical drama aired in 2005 and has been going on for amazing 17 seasons. Showing the life of doctors who are just starting their careers, the audience is attracted by the medicine and the romance within the walls of a hospital is Seattle.

This series will make you cry, laugh, think, question your life decisions, and when you least expect, it surprises you with things that can only happen with that amazing team of doctors. If you decide to go for it and marathon Grey’s Anatomy, it will offer you enough episodes for the whole month of vacation.

The Big Bang Theory

This series pictures the life of a group of scientists who are very successful at their jobs at the university but are still trying to figure out their social lives. The Big Bang Theory, available on Globoplay, aired for the first time in 2007 and ran strong for 12 seasons.  This sitcom carries a very smart and sarcastic humor and is a great choice for theones looking for a good laugh during vacations. Chances are that while watching this show you end up learning something new with Sheldon, Leonard, Howard and Raj.

Breaking Bad

Available on Netflix, Breaking Bad launched in 2008 and has 5 seasons. This series presents a chemistry teacher who entered the drug market after finding out about a cancer. His life turns upside down, and on his last try to leave his family some money, he finds himself using his knowledge to break the law. This drama with touches of twisted humor is a good option to marathon this July. With only 5 seasons, Breaking Bad is quite fast to finish and worth watching, since it got many awards while it was on cable TV.
