Campus Celebrity: Jessica Choy

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Case chapter.

This week’s Campus Celebrity is Jessica Choy! It’s rare to see Jess without a smile on her face, giggling, and making everyone laugh. I have had the pleasure of being friends with her for the past three years, and there has never been a dull moment. Jess is super involved, dedicated, and has quite the sense of humor. She’s a great person to know, if you don’t already, but let’s be real, who doesn’t know JChoy?

Age: 21 (whoot whoot!)

Hometown: Northbrook, IL (40 mins north of Chicago)

Major: Psychology and minors in biology and chemistry

Involvement on Campus: Delta Gamma, pre-physician assistant club

Hobbies/Interests: I like to read, watch movies, do outdoorsy stuffs (like camping, hiking, biking), throw a frisbee around here and there, watch movies, binge on netflix, and explore new places to eat.

Favorite Music: Vampire Weekend, Grouplove, Walk the Moon, anything Indie pop/alternative

Favorite TV shows: Breaking Bad, American Horror Story, Suits, New Girl, Revenge

Favorite Restaurant in Cleveland Area: Melt because who doesn’t love all that greasy goodness?

What is Your Dream Job? Honestly, someone who gets paid to people watch…but realistically, I want to be a physician assistant who will go into the Peace Corps (and I’ll either join with my husband or I’ll find my spouse there ;) ).

Top Things on your bucket list: See the seven wonders of the world, travel to Paris, travel to all of the national parks in the US, go scuba diving,

If you could be an animal, what would you be? A dolphin

If you could eat only one food item for the rest of your life, what would it be?  French fries!

Man Crush Monday? This is tough… but I’m going to have to go with Miles Teller (look at that cute smile)

Hero/Role model: My mom, because she’s an example of someone who has gone through hardship to live the American dream. She always puts her children in front of her and helps us in anyway she can. She goes above and beyond in everything she does. I love you mom!

Senior Nutrition Major at CWRU. On the Varsity Swim and Dive Team, and part of Delta Gamma Fraternity.
