Prince Harry announced his engagement to Meghan Markle on November 27th, 2017. Since then, details have slowly been emerging about the new royal wedding. Here’s what you should expect on the big day.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding will take place on Saturday, May 19th at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle at 12 pm GMT, 6 am CST. Their ceremony will be followed by a luncheon given by Queen Elizabeth II, and a dinner that evening hosted by Prince Charles at Kensington Palace.
The couple has sent invitations printed by Barnard Westwood, and the wedding will be host to floral arrangements by Philippa Craddock as well as their lemon elderflower cake made by Claire Ptak.

The royal wedding guests also have a dress code set by their invitations. Men are asked to wear their military uniform, a morning coat or lounge suit, while women are asked to wear day dresses and a hat. Unfortunately, Markle’s dress designer is currently kept under wraps, but with the big day quickly approaching, we may soon learn what to expect.
After the ceremony, Prince Harry and Markle will process through Windsor in a carriage before arriving back at Windsor Castle for the reception. This is done in an effort to share in celebration with members of the public.
A wedding also means many gifts. But for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, gifts aren’t exact what they’re looking for. Instead, the couple asks that anyone looking to mark the occasion should donate to one of their selected charities: CHIVA (Children’s HIV Association), Crisis, Myna Mahila Foundation, Scotty’s Little Soldiers, StreetGames, Surfers Against Sewage and The Wilderness Foundation UK.
The biggest wedding of 2018 is fast approaching. Are you waking up at 6 am to catch it?
